Located on the edge of the Navasota River is the Confederate Reunion Grounds State Historic Site – 1738 FM 2705, Mexia, Texas. Friends of the Confederate Reunion Grounds host the annual Civil War Living History and Reenactment. Local residents and history buffs travel from far and wide to experience this popular tradition.
